A Custom VELUX Skylight Transformation in Main Beach – Eight Large Skylights Over a Heated Swimming Pool
Energy Concepts recently completed a major VELUX skylight renovation project in Main Beach, replacing an existing skylight structure that had been in place for approximately 30 years.
The project involved eight large custom VELUX skylights positioned above a heated indoor swimming pool. With the original skylight structure reaching the end of its life, it was time for a complete renovation.
Custom Designed for the Project
This was no standard VELUX skylight installation. Energy Concepts custom designed the new VELUX skylight system to suit the existing building and its requirements.
The bases were constructed from aluminium, providing a durable, rust-resistant solution particularly suited to the environment above a heated swimming pool.
Aluminium was an important material choice, helping provide long-term durability in an environment where moisture and humidity are key considerations.
Eight Large VELUX Skylights Bringing in Natural Light
The completed installation features eight large VELUX skylights, creating an impressive overhead feature while allowing natural daylight to enter the swimming pool area.
The custom design brings a fresh, modern appearance to the space while providing a practical replacement for the original 30-year-old structure.
A Custom Collaboration
The project was custom designed by Energy Concepts and custom built by Redcliffe Skylights, bringing together specialist design and manufacturing to achieve the finished result.
The completed installation is a great example of how an ageing VELUX skylight structure can be transformed with a carefully designed, custom-built solution.
